"Promoting excellence though education and the exchange of ideas"
President's Letter - May 2010
Dear CTSGNA Members,
The meeting at St. Vincent's Hospital in April was again well attended with over fifty in attendance. Thanks again to Mike Morris from Wilson Medical for the refreshments. With only two days Janet Cordova got a replacement speaker for Dr. Castillo who had to cancel at the last minute. Janet raffled off two nice baskets after the program. Dr. Saj Joseph, a pancreatic surgeon did a great job on his presentation.
Chris Sarisley and I attended the Leadership Course and the House of Delegates. The Leadership course was very informative. We both took an active part in the House of Delegates. As far as the resolutions go resolutions one and seven were defeated. Resolutions two through six were adopted. As you can remember at our CTSGNA meetings we voted no for resolutions two, three and four.
On a National level I am proud of our member's participation:
Gail Steele on Awards Committee
Chris Sarisley on Practice Committee and G and J Editorial Board
Michelle Day on Practice Committee and Associate Committee
Kathryn Miller President Elect ABCGN
Congratulations to all thanks for all the dedication and hard work given to our National Society.
An exciting moment for me was to accept the Charter for CTSGNA at the re-chartering ceremony at nationals.
Hope to see all of you at the June 4th dinner meeting at Confetti's.
Remember the Crohn's and Colitis walk is June 5th. If you can't walk please consider a donation.
