President's Message

I hope this message finds everyone healthy and happy.

A special thanks to all who were able to attend the MS and LA Spring Conference in New Orleans this April. As you can see by the photos taken, we had an enjoyable meeting. I hope that you were able to take the information shared at that meeting and put it to use in your practice. Each of the speakers really did an excellent job of sharing valuable information.

As usual the vendors were very supportive of our organization and were instrumental in making the conference a successful one. A big thanks to all of the vendors represented at the conference.

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN! It's time to nominate and elect MS SGNA members for the following board positions: President Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer. I hope that all members will take this opportunity to nominate those members in your areas who could be an asset to SGNA. I have personally found serving on the board to be a rewarding learning experience.

If you know someone who you feel would be a good candidate for any of the above positions, please send an e-mail with the potential candidates name and contact information to Tonya.Breazeale@rmc.hma-corp.com. The MS board will contact the individual to ascertain their interest.

The MS SGNA would like to extend it's appreciation to IMS for their generous support and assistance with getting this website up and running. It is our goal for this site to be a beneficial tool for you. To assist us with achieving this goal we ask that you e-mail us with your comments and/or suggestions.

For 2007 we will adopt the theme of our National society "Charting a course for professional growth. Being mentored... and mentoring... The Odyssey continues." Accepting this as our goal we will be facing a challenge that is achievable only with the support of one another.

As your president for 2007 I'm looking forward to this years challenges and accomplishments for our society. Please feel free to e-mail me with any ideas or needs that the MS. SGNA can assist with.
